The Parrot Heads of Central Florida (PHCF) have sponsored the annual Fruitcakes in the Alley Bowling Tournament since 2009. Proceeds from this event are donated to the Arthritis Foundation on behalf of Kids with Arthritis. A total of more than $110,000 has been raised to date! Donations are accepted year-round.
Juvenile Arthritis (JA) affects an estimated 300,000 children in the United States alone. Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis is the most common type of arthritis in children and is usually diagnosed between the ages of two and sixteen. The disease often affects joints but can also involve other organs as well as weakening a child’s immune defense system. It is an incurable autoimmune disease that can have a devastating, life-long impact on children. In some cases, it can be life-threatening. The causative agent of JA is still unknown but research is ongoing to find the cause and to develop medications to treat, and hopefully prevent, this debilitating disease.
We ask for your help in our endeavor to raise funds to fight JA. We are soliciting corporate sponsorships, items to be included in our auctions and raffles, T-shirt and lane sponsorships, and monetary donations. The proceeds will support research and local services, such as exercise programs and summer camps for kids with arthritis.

Thanks to the Marriott SpringHill Suites in Altamonte Springs for being our host hotel. They gave us a great room rate, made a donation to our raffle, and provided some complimentary rooms. The rooms here are newly renovated and beautiful!
